Sharick Graciela Braca Torres was born on April 23, 2004, in Puerto Carreño-Vichada Colombia. She is currently a Nursing student at Universidad Manuela Beltrán, where she is in the process of professional training in the healthcare field. She is the daughter of Tatiana Liliana Torres Guarín, a teacher, and Fredy Octavio Braca Belisario, who was also a teacher and passed away in 2024. From her parents, she has inherited values such as responsibility, perseverance, commitment, and a strong sense of service. She has a younger sister, Thaliana Braca Torres, 16 years old, who is currently in Singapore representing Colombia in an important international mathematics competition. Sharick is a perseverant and patient person, with a strong willingness to listen, learn, and take on new challenges. She recognizes that she still has areas to improve, such as strengthening her English communication skills. She understands that opportunities must be taken when they arise, especially when they involve experiences of great importance. This is her first time traveling outside the country and her first participation in an event of this magnitude, making it a significant personal and academic experience that she embraces with enthusiasm and responsibility. She is a student who comes from the Colombian public education system, where there are often many limitations and gaps in secondary education, as well as challenges in the learning process. Despite these difficulties, she has continued striving to improve, overcome obstacles, and take advantage of every opportunity for academic and personal growth. In her academic journey, she is currently developing her thesis project, which is still in the implementation phase. Although she recognizes that there are still aspects to improve, she considers it a major step forward in her professional formation and feels proud of the progress achieved so far. Her greatest dream is to become an excellent healthcare professional and, in the future, serve as the Minister of Health of Colombia, with the purpose of strengthening the healthcare system, promoting more humanized and high-quality care, and working for the well-being of the entire population. To my mother, Tatiana Liliana Torres Guarín, for her unconditional love, constant support, and for being my greatest motivation to move forward in every stage of my life. In memory of my father, Fredy Octavio Braca Belisario, for always believing in me and for being an example of effort, values, and dedication. His memory continues to guide my life every day. And especially to my academic advisor, Edwing Urrea Vega, a very important person in my educational journey, to whom I express my deepest respect and admiration. His guidance, dedication, and teaching style have been fundamental in this process, becoming a constant inspiration that awakened in me a true love for research.
